DEALING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA NEGATIVITY

Am still a work in progress in this blogging arena but I must admit, social media can be mentally and emotionally exhausting. Instagram is now one of the best social media platforms where you get to share your experiences, making like minded friends and where you put your creativity to the test. But it can turn out to be a pretty ugly space that brings out the worst in people.

We've all experienced some form of negativity on Instagram from bad comments, to body shamming, to even finding your best photo in one of the memes, lol. No one wants to be part of a trolling in any social media site.

Below are a few tips on how I, personally deal with social media negativity:


1. Find positive support

Always be clear on the kind of content you choose to see. It's not bad to unfollow some one who is always full of drama, who wants such audience. Have a system of supportive individuals who feed you with positivity and make social media enjoyable. Feel good vibes only.

2. Grow thick skin

Never at one time should you give in to any of the negativity . Random users like making assumptions about a blogger or leaving nasty comments most times. Ignoring them is the best thing because most of them only want to provoke you to leave a nasty response. Don't give them that satisfaction. Remember, haters are always confused admirers(wink wink).

3. Be kind

Support each other by leaving encouraging comments or even liking their photos or page. It's not always not about you, learn to support others too.

4. Take a break

Learn to take a break from it all. Clear your head, shut your phone , get away from the internet and just relax. Spread positivity in your life both online and offline.
